1- Our Sports and Healthy Living Ethos
To inspire all our young people to enjoy and learn P.E. at Wortham Primary School as well as have opportunities to take part in physical activities and appropriate competitive school sport.
2- School Games Participation
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2020/21 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of PE and School Sport across the school and into the community.
The award is nationally recognised as the kite mark for school sport, and to attain Silver level is a major achievement. Our school has demonstrated a positive approach to Participation, Supporting Talented Athletes, Competition, Leadership, Inclusion and Community Links. Prior to this, we held the Silver award for the year 2016-20 and the Bronze award in 2014-15.
